What you'd actually do

  1. Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  2. Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  3. Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  4. Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  5. Work with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance and business managers to ensure that you understand the impact to our product and changes/approvals that are necessary.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial institutions in business controls, operational risk, compliance, legal, audit or similar function is required.
  • Excellent business judgement and organizational management skills, particularly the ability to work under pressure, handle high volume of throughput without compromising quality and proactively identify issues early
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with working and partnering with people at all levels, across all functional areas and internationally.
  • Able to motivate and gain consensus among peers and stakeholders to drive critical initiatives to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Knowledge of the EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) & APAC (Asia Pacific) financial services regulatory landscape including key regulators and regulations is a plus.
  • Comfortable with and adept at reading and interpreting legal and regulatory texts as a layperson (NB-New Banking: formal legal qualifications are beneficial but not required)
