OpenAI OpenAI · AI Frontier · United States · Remote · Marketing

Product Marketing Manager for OpenAI's API platform, focusing on establishing and growing the business by driving awareness, engagement, and usage among developers, startups, and enterprises. This role involves shaping narratives, defining market strategies, and partnering with Product, Sales, and Comms to position OpenAI as the default API platform.

What you'd actually do

  2. Help establish a new enterprise market for OpenAI: Define the narrative and value proposition for OpenAI in the enterprise, partnering with Sales and Product to determine target segments and personas, sales motions, and customer-facing content that support early traction and long-term scale.
  3. Win developer mindshare: Partner with Developer Experience and Startup Marketing to build content, campaigns, launches, and programs that resonate with developers and founders and bring the value and possibilities of the API platform to life.
  4. Partner deeply with Product to shape strategy and roadmap: Contribute insights from voice of customer, competitive context, and usage data to conversations with Product and Engineering to help shape roadmap and positioning of our products.
  5. Build launch strategies for APIs, developer tools, and models: Develop messaging, competitive positioning, announcement strategies, cross-functional launch plans, and post-launch feedback loops that drive adoption and usage.
  6. Build and standardize the foundation from scratch: Create and standardize core narratives, positioning, audience segmentation, and launch frameworks while moving quickly to bring new products to market.
