Product Operations

Plaid · Fintech · San Francisco, CA · All Cost Centers

The founding Product Operations Lead will define and own the operational backbone of the Product organization, working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Product Marketing to build systems, cadences, and standards for consistent execution. This role involves owning the product operating system, designing operating cadences, improving visibility, defining the PM tool stack, identifying opportunities for automation and AI/agents, reinforcing product culture, building systems for sharing product work and decisions, and eventually owning Product Manager onboarding and enablement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and evolve the operating system used by Product to plan, track, and communicate work, including roadmaps, planning artifacts, and execution tracking (in close partnership with Engineering Operations).
  2. Design and run lightweight operating cadences (e.g., planning cycles, product reviews, execution check-ins)
  3. Improve visibility into priorities, progress, and decisions across the product organization without adding unnecessary process
  4. Define and own the PM tool stack, evolving the tools and workflows that PMs use every day to ensure the function is operating effectively
  5. Identify where automation, AI/agents, and other new workflows can materially change how product work gets done, and translate those ideas into adopted capabilities.
