Product Operations Manager for ByteDance's PICO XR platform, focusing on the Entertainment vertical (streaming video, sports, music). The role involves owning and growing content distribution, defining and executing app and content traffic strategy across PICO eco services channels, optimizing discovery mechanisms, improving conversion efficiency, and scaling global distribution capabilities. Responsibilities include managing the full content lifecycle, designing campaigns, social engagement, testing, data optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data, Business Development, and Developer teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own content distribution for the PICO Store: Define and execute apps & content traffic strategy across PICO eco service channels(Feed, Store, Browser, Push, etc.), including the optimization of homepage layout and featured sections. Enhance app discoverability and user reach across both China and global markets through data-driven logic.Refine store displays based on user behavior data and platform goals.
  2. Design and launch high-impact campaigns to drive user engagement and retention, such as online multiplayer events, limited-time challenges, and user-generated content (UGC) programs. Support Discord initiatives, including community challenges and social events, to foster a vibrant developer-user ecosystem. Leverage social features to strengthen user interaction and platform stickiness.
  3. Partner with Product teams to suggest and test new store features or tools. Synchronize with Content and Developer teams on how we distribute and promote new apps. Collaborate with Data teams to support analytics frameworks, reporting dashboards, and experimentation pipelines.
  4. Partner closely with Product, Content Operations, Developer Operations, Legal, and Data teams to ensure the effective execution of platform initiatives and new feature rollouts.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in App Store Operations, Advertising Traffic Strategy, Organic Traffic Strategies, Content Operations, or related roles
  • Proven track record in traffic distribution strategy, placement management, A/B testing, and analyzing user behavior
  • Proven track record of managing the full content lifecycle for games, apps, or video platforms
  • Expertise in global project management and cross-functional leadership

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in app distribution platforms, content distribution, or gaming platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Discord community operations, including organizing online events, challenges, or developer-user engagement initiatives
