Okta is seeking a Product Paralegal to support the development and launch of innovative products, including those related to AI. The role involves conducting intakes, assisting with product reviews using checklists, creating and scaling tools/processes, maintaining records, tracking regulatory developments, drafting legal documents, executing open source procedures, and managing team programs. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach, and an interest in technology and process improvement. Experience with AI tools is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct intakes, including stakeholder interviews, to gather and document information about new products and features for attorney review.
  2. Assist attorneys with the initial review of products and features, using checklists and playbooks to help identify potential legal issues for further legal analysis.
  3. Help create and scale tools, processes, and knowledge to enhance the efficiency of the product counseling function.
  4. Develop and maintain organized records of product features and the corresponding legal guidance provided by the team's attorneys.
  5. Assist in tracking applicable laws, rules, and regulatory developments relevant to the team's work.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of paralegal support experience
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, GSuite)
  • Proficiency with communication platforms (e.g., Slack, Confluence)
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience interacting with clients or internal stakeholders in a cross-functional setting
  • Demonstrated interest in technology and process improvement

  • Degree in a technical field or operations management
  • Experience providing paralegal support within an in-house legal department or a law firm
