Product Portfolio Operations Manager

This role focuses on product portfolio operations, implementing connectivity strategies, optimizing business processes, and driving targeted initiatives to enhance coordination and enable scalable change within a financial services context. The manager will identify opportunities, partner with leaders and cross-functional teams (including risk and controls), and foster innovation and accountability, with a specific mention of accelerating the adoption of AI-enabled solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Works across products to help ensure delivery against business objectives while coordinating reporting and communications plans for portfolio management operations and change initiatives
  2. Identify, design, and implement process improvements that minimize manual work, eliminate unnecessary tasks, and consolidate activities to reduce handoffs, expedite timelines, and improve the client and employee experience.
  3. Influence and implement policy and procedure changes to streamline operations, enhance quality, and optimize risk management.
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, manage dependencies, and deliver benefits realization for process improvement initiatives.
  5. Communicate complex challenges and solutions clearly to diverse audiences, tailoring messaging for senior management, stakeholders, and project teams and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability—encouraging creative problem-solving and the adoption of new technologies.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and drive adoption at scale.
  • Expertise in transformation delivery: integrated planning, dependency management, stakeholder readiness, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to lead within a highly complex environment and adapt to change.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Background in Consumer Banking, Business Banking, and Credit Cards
  • Experience with portfolio-level tracking and process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with large-scale product portfolios and operational optimization
  • Experience in change management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Experience in fostering innovation and continuous improvement within product teams
