Description
This Product Quality Engineer provides quality management direction of all phases of a product from NPI to Sustaining.
Responsibilities
Focus on a few specific products made by Apple’s manufacturing partners in China. Lead each supplier's performance through objective measurements of IQC/IPQC/OQC and field returns. Lead quality issues to ensure robust solution and closure related to Incoming, Assembly, Test, Pack and OQC. Drive consistent execution of the OEM partner's quality plans in development, ramp, and sustaining phases; Perform audits at the manufacturing partners to ensure compliance. Continuously explore improvements of the quality management process, and drive to deliver outstanding product quality and reliability. Communicate a summary of performance and corrective actions to management. Highlight key issues and present options for solution to the cross-functional and executive team.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or equivalent experience in Mechanical/EE/Material Engineering. 5 years proven experience in Manufacturing technical roles. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
Preferred Qualifications
Understand clearly how to apply problem solving within experiments design, root cause analysis and statistical process control by data driven Six sigma knowledge and execution experience GD&T knowledge and able to collaborate with product designer for drawing & measurement related issues Always be curious on Tech details and eager to learn attitude Critical thinking and overall picture view on top of complicated issues/informations Experience in coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional partners. Experience in cable assembly, connectors is a plus. Experience on scripting, image process/machine learning is a plus.
