Caterpillar's MineStar Solutions Division is seeking a Product Service Consultant to support MineStar Terrain Onboard technologies. This role involves providing support and service engineering, including product validation, troubleshooting, and diagnosing technical issues. The consultant will act as a liaison between various teams and customers/dealers, advocating for their needs and ensuring issue resolution. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT, advanced English, and product support experience, with preferred qualifications in Spanish, project management, and industrial technology support.

What you'd actually do

  1. Mining Technology (MineStar) hardware and software issue identification and resolution for dealers and customers.
  2. Implementation and utilization of standard support processes to respond, restore, and resolve issues.
  3. Advocate on behalf of the dealer and customer to resolve technical product issues with product development engineering.
  4. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  5. Report issues within the CPI (product defect) process to assure proper resolution to ongoing issues.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or IT related
  • Pre Advanced English
  • Product Support experience

Nice to have

  • Intermediate Spanish
  • Project management experience
  • Experience supporting technology in an industrial or production environment
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) process experience
  • Experience utilizing SQL Server, TCP/IP networking, Microsoft client and server platforms
  • Familiar with schematics
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technically and non-technically skilled mining customers and dealers to develop partnerships/relationships
