Product Support Engineer - Precision Engagement Systems

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Programs : Deployments : Sustainment Engineering

The Product Support Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainment strategies for defense products, ensuring their operational readiness and longevity. This includes defining maintenance plans, shaping technical data packages, optimizing sparing, and managing the product lifecycle. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams, as well as customer interaction.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive, ground-up sustainment plans for the specific product(s) you support
  2. Partner with customers, operations teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to define, implement, and continuously improve effective maintenance and repair strategies
  3. Ensure the availability of up-to-date maintenance procedures, specialized tools, and accurate technical manuals to support field sustainment operations
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sustainment-related matters within your assigned product team, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  5. Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams during new product development phases to integrate best sustainment practices and design-for-supportability concepts early in the process
  6. Create and maintain a Service Bill of Materials (SBOM) and other critical sustainment artifacts (e.g., provisioning lists, support equipment lists), ensuring they establish a central, up-to-date repository for all sustainment data
