Boeing Defence UK is seeking a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing product platforms, primarily for fixed and rotor wing aircraft. The role involves conducting RCM analysis, reviewing change requests, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing management reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance/engineering background with knowledge of RCM or FMEA principles and risk/reliability management systems. The ability to obtain UK SC security clearance is essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct RCM analysis to agreed scope, quality and timescales
  2. Review and process change requests initiated as part of continuous improvement processes, i.e., feedback from maintenance execution, failure investigations and reliability studies
  3. Ensure proposed changes are compliant with agreed standards
  4. Understand the customer requirements and advise on good RCM practice
  5. Provide management reporting on progress (KPI’s / Close-out reports)

Skills

Required

  • UK SC security clearance
  • Strong maintenance/ engineering background
  • RCM or FMEA principles, practices and applications
  • Risk & reliability management systems and techniques
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Principles of Risk & Opportunity Management

Nice to have

  • Relevant Engineering qualifications or associated experience
  • Formal training in Support Engineering principles
  • Proven ability to drive first time quality
  • Defence background
  • Technical knowledge of the Chinook / Apache aircraft
