Production Control Coordinator

The Production Control Coordinator at Ford is responsible for creating daily and weekly production schedules for various manufacturing stages, managing inventory using the CMMS system, coordinating shipments, tracking shipping status, and performing inventory-related tasks like cycle counts. This role requires experience in manufacturing environments, ERP systems, and strong analytical and decision-making skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence)
  2. Utilize the Common Material Management System (CMMS) Inventory Management System to schedule assembly lines and to communicate to customers Sterling shipping intentions
  3. Follow up on VO shipments and distributions daily
  4. Support final balance outs and running changes to customers
  5. Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or Packaging
  • MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience utilizing ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Quick decision-making capability
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Prior experience with data analytics tools
  • Material Planning and Logistics experience
