This role is a Production Controller responsible for managing material requirements, schedules, and inventory for manufacturing industrial and commercial products. It involves compiling records, expediting material flow, identifying and correcting shortages, and supporting program meetings. The role requires experience in a manufacturing environment, production/inventory control, and ERP systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
  2. Compile records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
  3. Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments following production and shipping schedules.
  4. Assist in determining possible and actual shortages and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
  5. Use knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1 or more years of previous work experience in a production control, inventory control, or stockroom role.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in an ERP system.
  • Strong prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to Detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the organization.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust priority changes within a dynamic work environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with MPLM.
  • SAP - ERP Experience.
  • APICS – CPIM certified.
  • DoD experience.
  • Smart MES Experience
  • Ability to lift and move hardware when needed, some of which may weigh up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to wear cleanroom attire and work in the cleanroom for the entire workday.
  • Capable of working weekends or extended hours if notified in advance.
