Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) P-8 program is seeking a First-Line Production Engineering Manager to join the team in Tukwila, WA.
Candidates will be considered for leadership role on teams performing any of the Production Engineering roles We are looking for a leader who brings new perspectives, curiosity, and creativity when approaching challenges, and an insatiable desire for improvement.
Technical leadership and aptitude is essential for success of this role along with the people leadership skills to develop and inspire a diverse team to reach a shared goal and vision. Strong candidates will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers, as well as strong problem solving skills, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work across multiple functions to lead the development and implementation of production system solutions.
**Position Responsibilities: **
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work in Tukwila, WA.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of experience in a professional engineering role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working in a production environment
- 3 + years of experience with production systems design
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with build plan development and deployment
- ABET accredited Engineering degree

Summary Pay Range: $151,300 – 204,700
