Production Engineering Manager

Boeing is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting 787 production engineering. The role involves facilitating communication between departments, developing engineering solutions for production deviations, improving the production system, and potentially overseeing Material Review Board (MRB) functions. The manager will also interface with external stakeholders like airline representatives and regulatory agencies, manage a technical team, set goals, monitor performance, and develop employees.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering
  2. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  3. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  4. Develops and maintains relationships with operations/quality teams and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  5. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft production, ground operations and/or flight-line operations
  • 3+ years of experience managing and/or leading a team
  • 1+ years of experience in Material Review Board processes
