Production Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing, tooling, NC programming, liaison, and industrial engineers to define, stabilize, and improve the production system for a proprietary aerospace program. The role involves identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.
  2. Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.
  3. Create and lead a team to execute tooling and model-based instruction (MBI) release curves.
  4. Set operational goals and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes.
  5. Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvement initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience leading or managing engineering teams
  • Experience with production and assembly processes.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance post-start.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with military or defense programs.
  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizational processes, program plans, and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process improvement.
  • Familiarity with critical path methodology and project leadership principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with structural repair principles and systems thinking.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Existing Valid US Security Clearance
