Manager for Production Operations Engineering Process, Governance, and Training within Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems division, focusing on ICBM systems. What you'd actually do

  1. Planning, risk management, project performance, addressing schedules, technical quality, and addressing technical or operational problems when necessary. Having frequent contact with equivalent level managers and programs BU's to maintain and exceed health and performance for all programs.
  2. Ensure standard processes and procedures are developed in support of the Production Operations Directorate team
  3. Development, maintenance, and ensuring technical quality of standard training in support of the Production Operations Directorate team
  4. Review and approve documents and ensure compliance to released processes, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with Mission Assurance guidelines and procedures
  5. Manage team of Subject Matter Experts for development and delivery of Division Level and Program Specific process and training documentation

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM
  • 8 years of aerospace manufacturing or related field
  • 5 years' combined experience working in Manufacturing/ Production Operations / Production Engineering/Program Management
  • 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment
  • 2 years of experience developing processes and/or governance to be utilized by multiple teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security Secret clearance.

Nice to have

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience.
  • 3 years in a formal management position
  • Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution.
  • Mentoring and guidance to engineers
  • Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.
  • Experience on ICBMs.
  • Experience in AS9100 Requirements and Audits
  • Experience with integration and test of missiles.
  • Experience creating or growing new sections or departments
  • Experience in SDS PrOP Alignment and cross functional roles
  • Experience managing a production, manufacturing, manufacturing operations or test engineering team.
  • Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira
