Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Production Operations – Level 3 to join our team in Linthicum, MD. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The Production Operations candidate must possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, strong interpersonal skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to present program visibility at internal/external meetings (to include all levels of management- including executive level). The Production Operations candidate must be a self-starter and self-motivated individual who can work in a fast paced environment.
In addition, this role will be responsible for reviewing engineering designs from concept to drawing stage for: manufacturability, helping to develop production test solutions, and identifying gaps in existing infrastructure to complete program objectives. Consistent interface with design team to ensure manufacturing design guidelines are met.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
- Managing and maintaining the day to day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, Test, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and Shipping.
- Achieving targeted cost and schedule requirements.
- Facilitating internal meetings in a way to support design, production, and problem resolutions.
- Quarterly EHSP self-inspections and semiannual EHSP inspections.
- General maintenance management; working with ATL maintenance keeping the workplace up and running for any issues with the room that interfere with the particle count, humidity and HVAC systems and electrical systems. Maintain all devices that need calibration be sent to the calibration lab for required calibration. This includes: lab calibrations, test set equipment that need calibrations.
- Leading or participating on a product team, responsible for product-level requirements analysis, engineering and manufacturing of the products assigned, product tracking, and product visibility.
- Supporting and generating proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or project management
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, testing, and/or design
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including: Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
**Preferred Qualifications: **
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management
- Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
- Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Active TS/SCI security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
