Production Planner – Level 4

This role is for a Production Planner at Northrop Grumman, focusing on optimizing production facility and equipment layouts, workflow efficiencies, and resource utilization. The planner will manage production schedules, resolve resource conflicts, advise on production status, and conduct studies for cost reduction and inventory control. Experience with MRP/ERP systems, critical path analysis, and Master Production Schedules is required, along with an active Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  2. Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules; integrating multiple program schedule requests into one executable schedule for production teams
  3. Resolves conflicts between competing programs for common resources
  4. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed
  5. Create, maintain and status network-based, Master Production Schedules in support of GWS program

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
