Production Planner, Nightshift

This role is for a Production Planner on the nightshift at Skydio, a drone company. The planner will manage production plans, schedules, and priorities for vehicles and accessories, working closely with manufacturing, operations, and sales teams. Responsibilities include tracking progress, communicating risks, managing inventory accuracy, and releasing production orders in NetSuite. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of experience in supply chain or operations are required. Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite is expected, and experience with Databricks is a plus. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage both near-term tactical weekly production plans and priorities to the manufacturing team for vehicle and accessories against booked orders
  2. Develop and maintain feasible vehicle and accessory production schedules, accounting for forecasted demand, internal requirements, customer orders, manufacturing capacity, and yield
  3. Track progress toward the plan and communicate any risks, expected or realized
  4. Communicate material shortages or discrepancies and the associated impact
  5. Support inventory accuracy, including performing counts and auditing BOMs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations
  • 5 - 8 years experience or equivalent in a supply chain, operations, or relevant role
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals and planning processes
  • Familiarity with Netsuite or other ERP systems and / or planning/scheduling systems
  • Strong analytical, slide deck presentation, verbal and written communication, and cross-functional team management skills
  • Independent, self-starter with strong work ethics who is open-minded, collaborative, team-oriented, attention to details, and adept creative problem solver
  • Ability to work in a fast pace and highly dynamic environment while managing and prioritizing multiple projects / tasks simultaneously

  • Databricks experience
