Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +1

This role focuses on the production and staging of robotic data collection environments, involving set design, logistics, and coordination between research and engineering teams. It emphasizes optimizing environments for data capture and ensuring safe robotic operations within R&D settings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and execute scene staging for robotic data collection, focusing on set design and deployment, applying high-end production standards to robotic integration.
  2. Act as the primary liaison between researchers defining data goals, engineering teams integrating robotic work cells, and production teams managing staging logistics.
  3. Coordinate scene layouts with robot work cell configurations, ensuring environments are optimized for high-quality data capture while maintaining safe, efficient robotic operations.
  4. Manage inventory, scheduling, and logistics for all set components, props, and equipment.
  5. Monitor scene performance and data quality to pinpoint friction points, identifying bottlenecks in set design or integration and implement iterative, systemic improvements.
