Production Team Leader for Caterpillar's Building Construction Products (BCP) assembly line, responsible for leading and motivating a team to meet daily production goals in safety, quality, velocity, and cost. The role involves coaching, mentoring, deploying training using lean methodologies, fostering a safety culture, resolving issues through continuous improvement, auditing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires understanding of assembly operations, manufacturing quality processes, root cause analysis, strong communication, and organizational skills. Previous people development and 6 Sigma/Project management experience are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading the team to meet the daily production goals on safety, quality, velocity and cost targets
  2. Actively coach, guide and mentor your teams performance and development
  3. Carry out daily communications and deploy training programs to upskill teams using lean methodologies
  4. To lead an inclusive, engaging safety culture
  5. Proactively resolve issues and generate new ideas for your assigned area using the Continuous Improvement (CI) process to improve quality, effectiveness and safety.
