Anduril Anduril · Defense · Irvine, CA · Manufacturing : Manufacturing Operations : Production Operations

This role is for a Production Test Specialist at Anduril Industries, a defense technology company. The specialist will lead testing and troubleshooting for electromagnetic warfare systems, focusing on RF, electrical, mechanical, and software domains. The role requires extensive experience in test/validation, deep RF expertise, electrical knowledge, Linux/CLI proficiency, and networking understanding. Responsibilities include executing test plans, conducting RF and environmental tests, troubleshooting anomalies, documenting results, managing workflow, and collaborating with engineering teams. The company mentions AI and related technologies in its broader context but this specific role is focused on hardware and system testing, not AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute comprehensive test plans to validate system functionality, performance, and seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, and software sub-assemblies, rigorously testing interfaces and diagnosing interaction issues.
  2. Conduct detailed Radio Frequency (RF) tests, analyzing signal integrity, power output, spectral purity, sensitivity, and other critical parameters using specialized equipment.
  3. Perform Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and other reliability tests, such as burn-in, vibration, and thermal cycling, to assess product robustness and performance under various conditions.
  4. Lead extensive and complex troubleshooting efforts to identify the root cause of anomalies, defects, and performance deviations across hardware, software, and RF domains using advanced diagnostic tools.
  5. Accurately document test procedures, comprehensive test results, and in-depth failure analysis reports in accordance with quality management systems.
