This role is a Program Control Analyst (Level 2) at Northrop Grumman, focusing on financial and administrative support for program managers and functional management. Key responsibilities include Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks such as establishing Work Breakdown Structure, maintaining performance baselines, managing estimates to complete, and supporting reporting requirements. The role involves budget baseline management, funding analysis, cost risk analysis, and preparing government cost performance reports. The analyst will use financial systems like Microframe Project Manager (MPM), SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), wInsight, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

What you'd actually do

  1. Establishment of Work Breakdown Structure for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled, assessment and maintenance of objective performance criteria, maintenance and justifications of estimates to complete, and support to internal and external reporting requirements for variance analysis.
  2. budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment and visibility reports, preparation of government cost performance reports and preparation and/or review of performance measurement variance analysis as well as development and analysis of estimates to complete.
  3. support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration
  4. support preparation of budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC
  5. perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility reporting

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience in financial analysis, business management, education, communications or industry related fields OR Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on site daily in Redondo Beach, CA

  • Understanding of Government Contracting and Business Processes
  • Understanding of Business Systems (SAP/Cobra)
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
