This role is for a Program Lead focused on strategic planning for Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Support operations at Uber. It involves leading planning cadences, managing workforce and budget forecasting, and defining agent network strategy. The role requires strong financial foundations and the ability to influence business strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Strategic Planning Cadences: Act as the point of contact for AV Support’s mid-year and annual planning cycles, owning financial and operational components such as headcount forecasts, OKRs, and investment asks. Lead ad hoc strategic investment decisions to inform high-impact decisions in a rapidly evolving space
  2. Workforce and Budget Management: Own headcount planning and forecasting across Mobility CX, Delivery CX, Remote Assistance, and Field Support Ops. Track actuals vs plan and proactively flag risks and actionable recommendations. Develop cost models across support functions, including labor, vendor spend, and infrastructure investments.
  3. Lead Agent Network Strategy: Manage our network strategy - leading initiatives focused on agent footprint strategy, channel mix, automation, and enablement priorities across key functions. Build our long-term roadmap, ensuring alignment between our network strategy and evolving AV operational needs.
  4. Define Performance Targets & Enable Decisions: Set targets and measure performance across key support metrics - ensuring robust, defensible planning assumptions and methodologies. Build executive-ready narratives translating operational plans into clear business insights.
  5. Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Finance, Ops, and CommOps to align on headcount, budget, and operational strategy.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, corporate strategy, or management consulting
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice to have

  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and ability to work with large data sets
  • Strong track record in customer experience strategy or sales
  • Experience with financial and headcount planning, preferably in a support operations or tech environment
  • Proven experience in working with diverse set of functions and stakeholders in complex organizational settings
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience managing planning or reporting processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to develop strategies and make decisions quickly
  • Prior exposure to autonomous vehicle programs or similar high-innovation spaces
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to senior audiences
  • SQL proficiency is a plus
