Program Manager

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Hsinchu, Taiwan · Engineering

This role is for a Program Manager at AMD, focusing on capacity expansion within the supply chain for semiconductor manufacturing. The individual will own milestone planning, execution, risk management, and process improvements to ensure factory readiness and successful product launches, particularly in the context of accelerating computing experiences including AI. While the company is involved in AI, this specific role is centered on program management and supply chain operations rather than direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own milestone planning and attainment; build and maintain the integrated program plan; track execution, resources, and spend; and deliver clear status reporting against schedule, budget, and prioritization methodology.
  2. Apply project management best practices (scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change control) to lead small to large programs from concept through closure.
  3. Develop executive-ready dashboards and management reports; partner with Operations management on priority setting; and align Engineering and suppliers on throughput expectations and output forecasts, yield targets, and qualification requests to improve supply.
  4. Drive planning rigor and execution discipline by maintaining clean data, auditing key assumptions, and ensuring commitments are met on time.
  5. Identify and drive process improvements that strengthen the capacity footprint; design and implement scalable tools, reports, and operating mechanisms that improve visibility and decision-making.
