This role is for a Finance Manager within Amazon's Global Transportation Finance Operations team. The primary focus is on driving Accounts Receivable (AR) performance globally by developing operational metrics, assessing priority areas, conducting operational reviews, and implementing improvements. The role involves partnering with various business, finance, technology, tax, and accounting teams to build scalable receivable processes and resolve defects. Key responsibilities include building financial and operational analyses, scaling services and tools, defining KPIs, collaborating with global stakeholders, resolving critical issues, negotiating processes, and identifying financial/operational risks and opportunities. The role requires experience in finance, process improvements, automation, and applying KPIs, with preferred experience in AR, advanced SQL, and leveraging generative AI tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build financial and operational analyses to drive global growth and scale, using data to influence senior leadership decisions, defining project plans and delivering high-quality, systematic solutions to prevent and eliminate defects.
  2. Scale services and tools – design processes and procedures that scale with the business growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
  3. Define key performance indicators – develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.
  4. Collaborate and build relationships with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and the highest degree of controllership.
  5. Drive resolution of critical issues for customers as well as support processes/systems deep dives to ensure root cause analysis and correction resulting in improved customer experience.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

Nice to have

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools and agentic AI systems to automate repetitive workflows and improve operational efficiency
