Program Manager II for the Forecasting & Planning Research (FPR) team within Amazon's Selling Partner Support (SPS) Finance. This role focuses on driving innovation in global forecasting and headcount/capacity planning, requiring collaboration with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements and research ML innovations. The candidate will manage product strategy, integration, and drive business reviews, while also analyzing forecast variances and improving operational efficiencies. The team uses machine learning algorithms to estimate future risk and determine headcount requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external SPS customers.
  2. Fully define project scope and deliverables; stakeholders & project resources; gather, analyze, and prioritize customer and program requirements
  3. Document constraints, dependencies, and assumptions
  4. Define project success measures, timelines and milestones; drive project schedules and manage implementation of the tool or process
  5. Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams; identify criteria for decision making and priorities

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level
  • SQL

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
