Program Manager -observability Architecture and Migration

This role is a Program Manager focused on the delivery of Observability implementation projects for customers, ensuring successful adoption of New Relic's intelligent platform. The role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, coordinating resources, managing scope and risks, and overseeing commercial aspects. While the company's platform is described as intelligent and enabling an "AI-first world", the core responsibilities of this specific role are project management and customer implementation, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Project Delivery: Plan, execute, and finalize highly technical Observability implementation projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. You will drive outcomes that ensure the customer achieves their desired technical and business goals.
  2. Scope & Risk Management: Define clear project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with sales and technical teams. Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, devising effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  3. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary communication bridge for all project stakeholders, including customers, Account Executives, Technical Success Managers, and engineering teams. You will provide transparent, regular updates on project status, financials, and milestones.
  4. Team and Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal and external technical resources (e.g., Solution Consultants, Engineers, Partner resources) to ensure effective resource allocation and task execution across all phases of the project.
  5. Commercial & Financial Oversight: Oversee the commercial aspects of the project, including monitoring project budget burn-rate, managing Statements of Work (SoW), tracking resource time & expenses, and ensuring timely invoicing based on project milestones.
