This role is for a Program Manager within OpenAI's Procurement organization, focusing on a Center of Excellence (COE) team. The primary responsibility is to design and scale processes, systems, governance, and operating models for Procurement. The role involves leading cross-functional initiatives, translating business needs into scalable requirements, driving planning and execution, and supporting continuous improvement efforts, including the use of AI and automation to enhance procurement operations. It is a product-focused role within the general domain, with no direct AI/ML craft involved.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead cross-functional procurement transformation programs spanning Strategic Sourcing, P2P, Extended Workforce, T&E, Corporate Card, Risk, and Procurement Systems.
  2. Develop and maintain the Procurement transformation roadmap, partnering across teams to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, map dependencies, sequence work effectively, and align investments against strategic business objectives.
  3. Translate business needs into scalable requirements, partnering with Procurement SMEs and EPT to design processes, workflows, controls, reporting, and user experiences.
  4. Drive quarterly planning and execution, maintaining visibility into milestones, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  5. Contribute directly to project delivery, including requirements gathering, process design, testing coordination, documentation, rollout planning, training, and change enablement.
