Project Developer, Autonomous Vehicle Infrastructure

This role focuses on leading the development of charging and maintenance infrastructure for autonomous vehicles, involving site acquisition, contract negotiation, and project management. It requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and a strong understanding of real estate and development processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and manage a pipeline of potential new charging and depot sites in alignment with Uber’s strategy.
  2. Conduct and refine comprehensive site due diligence, including zoning, utility access, permitting, and financial feasibility.
  3. Lead contract negotiations with landlords, property owners, and public/private partners.
  4. Partner with attorneys to draft, negotiate, and execute site agreements (lease or purchase).
  5. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to evaluate installation costs, optimize layouts, and manage project hand-off.
