Project Management Manager 2 role at Northrop Grumman supporting Engineering & Sciences Business Operations. Responsibilities include operational cadence, resource planning, budgeting, financial forecasting, coordination of engineering status reporting, data management, meeting facilitation, and translating business needs into engineering strategies. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with next level engineering and division operations managers in an operational cadence to include cyclic reporting and analysis of program and portfolio goals to achieve contractual and organizational objectives.
  2. Support the process for resource planning (including staffing, NCTA, Capital, etc.).
  3. Support budgeting, planning and financial forecasting.
  4. Partner with discipline managers to ensure engineering has the facilities & infrastructure to effectively support business execution and growth.
  5. Coordination of engineering status reporting.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Project Management or related discipline fields.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • Experience in leadership combined with strong collaboration and team building skills.
  • Experience with prioritizing multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously
  • Experience with leading and delivering complex projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in one of these areas: Capital/NCTA management, facilities strategies, staffing strategy and resource allocation

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman’s portfolio, product lines, and business planning processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of corporate engineering standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, enabling swift, data driven recommendations from both quantitative and qualitative sources.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to enhance insight generation and decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with senior leadership across Northrop Grumman and key customer organizations, building strong strategic relationships.
  • Proven track record managing a wide spectrum of program types from research and development and full rate production to logistics support, systems integration, and service delivery.
  • Leadership experience in both functional and program wide roles, driving cross functional teams toward mission critical objectives.
  • Exposure to program/project management processes and practices, including cross functional coordination, dependency management, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication
