Project Manager for Capital One's Climate & Geopolitical Risk team within Enterprise Risk Management. Responsibilities include program governance, reporting, stakeholder management, policy updates, and managing audit/regulatory interactions. Requires Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Project Management or Financial Services consulting experience. Preferred qualifications include audit/risk management experience and knowledge of risk management lifecycles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Embedding new business activities into the team's work and developing and managing project plans to ensure the Climate & Geopolitical Risk team delivers on its goals.
  2. Manage the overarching governance framework for both programs, including overall roadmaps and program administration (e.g., budgets, trainings)
  3. Manage ongoing reporting to key stakeholders and the Board, including mandatory disclosures and external reporting.
  4. Maintain relationships and ongoing meetings with key stakeholders, including formal working groups.
  5. Update and maintain formal policies, associated processes and controls in Capital One’s internal system.
  6. Manage Audit and regulatory engagement, including exams.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of Project Management or Financial Services consulting experience

  • Audit or Risk management experience in a large financial services organization or management consultancy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end risk management lifecycle, risk frameworks, and governance structures
  • Ability to distill complex information into a consumable narrative for an executive and Board level audience
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risk pathways and devise management strategies
  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to navigate a complex organization and influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Prior experience with Climate and or Geopolitical Risk Management
