What you'd actually do

  1. Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in the forming and finishing of aircraft composite structures.
  2. Analyze various manufacturing processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize schedule.
  3. Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving, impactful solutions.
  4. Work with program leadership to assess what-if scenarios and guide long-term strategic decision making across several different programs.
  5. Generate metrics and conducts studies pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance
  • Ability to work on an assembly floor

Nice to have

  • Current DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field
  • Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools
