Project/Program Manager at AMD in Suzhou, China, responsible for ensuring supply for GPU mass production, including demand/supply alignment, material readiness, engineering information delivery, and schedule management. What you'd actually do

  1. Helps set strategic direction of inventory and supply planning: improve supply planning for factory optimization, inventory level, and flexibility; assisting engineering in capital investment and tool development is a plus
  2. Integrated financial analysis, focusing on supply chain risk management and the impact of disruptions; provides analysis and recommendations for sourcing decisions and global flexibility, including impact on inventory buffer levels and locations
  3. Integrates forecast accuracy work with the Business Management Team into supply planning processes
  4. Manages and ensures adherence to finished goods buffering and manufacturing strategy; understanding of ABC class code and its management is a plus
  5. Oversees product life cycle management (from SKU approval to EOL)

Skills

Required

  • Good communication skill, working with CM account team and material team to negotiate build schedule, liability, and responsibilities
  • Have the ability/experience to manage multiple SMT assemblies with part counts in the neighborhood of 300 components
  • Experience in netting logic surrounding gross inventory and net inventory (CM inventory/hub inventory)
  • EC management experience in dealing with SMT assemblies (remove/add)
  • Ability to interact with account teams across multiple time zones and speak fluent English
  • Understanding and experience in managing procurement during shortages and sourcing strategies
  • Experience in inventory analysis dealing with obsolete, surplus, and inactive inventory
  • Experience in handling RMA/re-work material

Nice to have

  • Experience in EMS (electrical manufacturing service) industry is preferred
  • Materials management background.
  • Experience with MRP systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PC based software suites including MS Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
