This role is for a Property Field Claims Specialist at Allstate, responsible for investigating, assessing, and settling residential property claims. The role involves interpreting policy wordings, determining coverage, and providing customer service. While the company uses AI tools in its recruitment process, the core function of this job is not AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Investigate and settle property claims throughout the surrounding area;
  2. Interpret insurance policy wordings as well as determine policy coverage and reserves;
  3. Investigate and analyze the clientele’s coverage;
  4. Provide prompt and equitable settlement of claims while exercising superior customer service for policyholders;
  5. Work together with customers as well as vendors to bring a file to completion providing both sides with a resolution;

Skills

Required

  • A minimum 2-3 years’ experience adjusting residential property claims or working in a relevant property claims role.
  • Completion of CIP designation or desire to obtain.
  • Experience in complex claim investigation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Nice to have

  • Completion of the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) or the HAAG Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with property estimating program Xactimate and Guidewire.
