Property, Plant, and Equipment (pp&e) Specialist

This role is for a Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) Specialist within Deloitte's Finance Transformation team, focusing on controllership and treasury transformation for government and public sector clients. The specialist will maintain PP&E records, review capitalization, perform reconciliations, execute asset valuation and compliance activities, and advise on fixed asset policies. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of experience in PP&E tracking and valuation, and an active TS/SCI clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Maintaining property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) records by tracking acquisitions, transfers, and disposals
  2. Reviewing capitalization and expense treatment and performing reconciliations between the general ledger and property systems or trackers
  3. Executing asset valuation and compliance activities, including depreciation reviews, valuation support, and audit request support
  4. Assessing existing fixed asset policies and procedures and advising on updates or creation of new documentation
  5. Supporting client financial operations through fixed asset reporting, record maintenance, and issue resolution

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph
  • 5+ years of experience with fixed asset or property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) tracking, valuation, and policy support
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Intelligence Community clients
  • 5+ years of experience with information technology invoices and purchase orders
  • Ability to work onsite in McLean, Virginia 5 days per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
