Boeing is hiring a Structural Analysis Engineer to perform structural analysis using analysis tools, develop structural requirements, and support testing and in-service products. The role involves using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations to ensure structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle. This position is for Associate or Mid-Level engineers with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  2. Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
  3. Develops test plans and configurations and/or supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  4. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  5. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with Stress analysis / structural analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity
  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the structural or aerospace industry
  • 3+ years of experience performing structural analysis
  • 2+ years of experience performing structural analysis on composite material systems
  • 2+ years of experience working on aircraft propulsion structures
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication of aircraft propulsion structures
  • Prior experience with aircraft or heavy structures manufacturing/production systems
  • Demonstrated autonomy while working with technical teams and projects
