This role is for a ProServe Cloud Architect on AWS Professional Services in Taiwan. The architect will design, architect, and implement cloud solutions on AWS for customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor. Key responsibilities include solution architecture, customer engagement, cloud migration, conducting Well-Architected Reviews, technical delivery, advising on emerging technologies like generative AI, and supporting pre-sales efforts. The role requires strong AWS expertise and experience in IT architecture and cloud solutions, with exposure to AI/ML services being a preferred qualification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures tailored to customer business requirements and technical constraints.
  2. Serve as the primary technical point of contact during ProServe engagements, building trusted relationships with customer stakeholders ranging from developers to C-suite executives.
  3. Architect and execute cloud migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) for complex enterprise workloads, including legacy and mainframe modernization initiatives.
  4. Conduct AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews and provide actionable recommendations to improve customers' cloud environments across reliability, security, performance, cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainability pillars.
  5. Lead the delivery of ProServe projects end-to-end, including defining technical scope, creating architecture artifacts, guiding implementation teams, and ensuring quality outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or software engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of core AWS services including compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS), storage (S3, EBS, EFS), networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora), and security (IAM, KMS, Security Hub)
  • infrastructure-as-code tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
  • Experience leading technical delivery in a consulting or professional services environment, conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences

Nice to have

  • AWS Professional level certification, or degree in advanced technology
  • Experience with large-scale cloud migration programs, including use of AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service, and MAP (Migration Acceleration Program).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS).
  • Experience with serverless application development and event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with data and analytics services (Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, Amazon QuickSight).
  • Exposure to AI/ML services (Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Q) and generative AI solution design.
