This role is for a Public Policy Manager in France, focusing on technology regulation including AI, online safety, and privacy. The manager will shape and execute Meta's policy strategy, monitor legislative developments, prepare briefing materials, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and engage with policymakers and regulators. The role requires experience with AI tools for research and workflow optimization, as well as understanding ethical AI practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitor political and legislative developments relevant to Meta in France across a range of technology and innovation policy topics
  2. Prepare briefing materials, policy positions, and talking points for both internal and external stakeholders
  3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams at Meta — including Legal, Communications, functional Policy, and Product teams — to ensure alignment on policy positions and messaging
  4. Support the organisation and execution of senior leadership visits and flagship events supporting Meta’s policy strategy in France, including stakeholder preparation, briefings, event logistics, and follow-up
  5. Plan and manage events and partnerships with key third parties on priority policy topics, working closely with the policy team and cross-functional partners

Skills

Required

  • Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Social Science, or related field degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in policy, regulatory, or government affairs in France
  • Full professional fluency in French and English
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Familiarity with the French political and institutional landscape
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience using AI tools for public policy work
  • Experience integrating AI tools to optimize workflows
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development
  • Experience with responsible, ethical AI practices
  • Experience in the technology, digital, or telecommunications sector, or French business/innovation ecosystem
  • Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks
