Pursuit AI Lead, Google Cloud

This role is a customer-facing sales and strategy role focused on driving enterprise AI transformation using Google Cloud services. The individual will define AI transformation strategies, architect AI services, build proposals, and act as a trusted advisor to customers, partnering closely with sales leadership. While the role involves understanding and positioning AI capabilities, it does not involve direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define, own and articulate the comprehensive AI transformation strategy for a strategic enterprise portfolio, partnering directly with sales leadership and C-level executives to identify opportunities and resolve pain points.
  2. Architect the customer AI services journey, managing the entire services lifecycle from qualification through contracting and creating proposals, leveraging a value services approach to accelerate cloud adoption.
  3. Translate complex customer business goals and outcomes into a defined AI transformation services roadmap, scope the required professional services work, and orchestrate the engagement of the right delivery resources (Professional Services Organization and Partners).
  4. Drive AI strategy and go-to-market execution for Google professional services core programs; shape offers, build assets, scale enablement, and value-sell alongside the team to capture field and customer insights.
  5. Support professional services pipeline transparency, tracking status and executing resolution strategies to eliminate blockers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., driving professional services or transformation strategies) in the cloud or enterprise technology domain.
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, services, and adoption frameworks.
  • Experience with executive-level customer relationships (e.g., acting as an advisor or portfolio leader).
  • Experience solving business problems with cloud technologies, specifically AI/Generative AI.
  • Experience managing end-to-end commercial agreement pursuit and services agreement lifecycles (e.g., agreement qualification, agreement scoping, proposal development, agreement negotiation).

Nice to have

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience developing holistic AI transformation services strategies and repeatable solutions across a customer portfolio.
  • Experience in model tuning or training (e.g., fine-tuning or PEFT LLMs), RAG implementations, and advanced AI agent development.
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences to drive collaborative problem-solving.
  • Ability to drive business outcomes and consumption acceleration through governance and execution oversight of signed engagements.
  • Excellent thought leadership, business, and industry acumen, with experience collaborating across internal organizations (Sales, PSO, Partners).
