This role is for a Quality Analyst at Northrop Grumman, focusing on monitoring program production and testing activities to ensure mission success. The analyst will review quality discrepancies, interface with cross-functional teams, investigate problems, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with quality protocols and contractual requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Experience with SAP, MS Office, nonconformance processes, and reading technical drawings is also required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems
  2. Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, and program personnel to ensure requirements are met
  3. Investigate problems, establish disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
  4. Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications to processes
  5. Create and disposition QNs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related work experience or a Master’s Degree and 0 year of related work experience. Must have 6 years of related work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team
  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours
  • Experience with SAP/S4 ERP transactions
  • Efficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving skills who can troubleshoot issues to closure with minimal directions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Experience in developing, collecting, and analyzing data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with nonconformance and corrective action processes
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program functions to ensure quality standards are in place and followed
  • Experience in production floor environment pertaining to quality protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency in writing and following detailed procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to work with minimal oversight and in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Must be able to work on-site in Madison, Alabama
