Quality and Manufacturing Engineer

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Shanghai, China

NVIDIA is seeking a Quality and Manufacturing Engineer to join their Silicon Hardware team. The role involves partnering with silicon validation teams to define and refine bring-up platform requirements, shaping validation platforms for various product lines including AI, consumer graphics, and self-driving cars. Responsibilities include determining optimal manufacturing test stages, creating new tests based on hardware features or customer feedback, automating test runs, analyzing data for quality assurance, and guiding debug for yield issues. The ideal candidate will have an MS degree with 3+ years of experience in a related engineering field, extensive experience in chip/board/system manufacturing and production testing, proficiency in Linux, Python, and Perl, and a deep understanding of product binning and data analysis techniques.

What you'd actually do

  1. Based on understanding a product feature, determine the best manufacturing stage for testing GPU/CPU hardware features. This could be ATE, socketed or board-level system test, rack-level test, or pod/cluster-level test, as needed.
  2. Create new tests or test conditions based on an understanding of hardware features or learnings from customer returns or gaps in internal manufacturing stages.
  3. Perform or automate test runs, analyze and visualize data to ensure a high-quality test, and guide debug for yield or escape issues.
  4. Partner with test engineering and operations teams to implementing efficient manufacturable test solutions
