Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer role focused on ensuring technical compliance, safety, and quality for Disney's Attraction and Entertainment venues. Responsibilities include developing and enhancing quality processes, conducting reviews of various data types, and validating compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating content development for globally-applicable standards and business practices
  2. Develop and draft quality process solutions for broader consideration/further development
  3. Prepare Presentations for our team, and potentially for global partners and Executives
  4. Provide timely, clear, concise communication to management, team members and partners about work status and impacts
  5. Perform reviews of various types of data for the purpose of investigation into areas of opportunity (this could include reviews of maintenance data, technical drawing release data, parts procurement data, survey data, etc.)

Skills

Required

  • Engineering, Quality Assurance (Production/manufacturing, not Software), or Ride Inspection/Compliance experience
  • Able to communicate technical concepts in writing
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical peers and management
  • Excellent problem-solving, balanced with a strong ability to see various perspectives to ensure an optimized outcome for all stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline, technical team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities
  • Experience managing multiple projects/assignments and priorities
  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited engineering program such as Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Nice to have

  • Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate
  • 1+ years of experience with Disney in a technical capacity
  • Project Development work
  • Equipment inspection/documentation review
  • Participation in Risk Assessment/ Hazard Analysis development
  • Editing/ drafting standards, business practices, manuals, or equivalent
  • Post Graduate Work in engineering or technical subject area
