Quality Engineer II - Hw Systems

This role focuses on ensuring quality in the manufacturing, supply chain, and vehicle integration of hardware systems for autonomous vehicles. The Quality Engineer will lead test and inspection plan creation, perform tests, troubleshoot hardware and software faults, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, develop, and support test and inspection plan creation in accordance with required specifications.
  2. Perform tests and inspections according to Quality plans and procedures to record & analyze data, document and report results.
  3. Create and maintain documentation and records of test operations.
  4. Troubleshoot, debug, and perform general root cause analysis for software and hardware faults and defects.
  5. Perform cable and harness assembly testing and troubleshooting.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, autonomous vehicle manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics or equivalent field experience
  • Experience with programming and scripting (C++, Python or equivalent)
  • Experience debugging complex electronic assemblies and/or manufacturing cable assemblies
  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Nice to have

  • IPC 610 and IPC 620 certification(s)
  • Experience working with autonomous vehicles
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing and quality specifications
  • Ability to travel to company locations in the continental U.S.
