Quality Engineer - Quality Improvement

This role is for a Quality Engineer focused on quality improvement within a manufacturing and product lifecycle context. It involves leading Lean manufacturing initiatives, applying Lean tools, utilizing A3 problem-solving, analyzing quality data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to standardize processes and implement corrective actions. The role is not directly involved in building or researching AI/ML models but focuses on general quality engineering principles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and support Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput
  2. Apply Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) to identify and eliminate waste
  3. Utilize A3 problem-solving methodology to investigate issues and implement sustainable corrective actions
  4. Support and align improvement activities with Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) objectives and strategic goals
  5. Analyze quality data and process metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
