Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing AI-powered military systems. This Quality Inspector role supports manufacturing by ensuring product quality through inspections, process improvements, and issue investigation. The role requires experience with various inspection tools, engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality management systems like AS9100/ISO9001. Experience with electrical components and manufacturing systems is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work in a modern manufacturing environment on incoming inspection, in-process inspection and end of line inspection.
  2. Support Material review board processes.
  3. Propose, develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and review with the product quality and manufacturing engineers
  4. Review and propose continuous improvement projects for productivity gains, quality improvements, and benefits to Anduril's quality policy.
  5. Support the calibration process of test equipment, jigs and fixtures. Coordinate calibration

Skills

Required

  • Calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Scanning, torque, multimeters etc.)
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (wire diagrams, work instructions, MBD drawings)
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Inspection of CNC machined parts, fabricated weldments and mechanical assemblies
  • Inspection of Electrical and Electronic Components (PCBs, wire-harnesses)
  • AS9100, ISO9001 or similar QMS standard
  • Communicating in cross functional teams and with suppliers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Technical or Associates degree in related quality/ mechanical/ aerospace engineering field
  • IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 Certification
  • Manufacturing processes and their related systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, CAD)
  • Auditing processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Detail oriented self starter with minimal oversight
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of with Maritime vessel requirements
  • Validation and testing assemblies and their components
