What you'd actually do

  1. Reads and interprets engineering drawings, models, specifications and performs inspections utilizing tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, multimeters, UV light sources, microscopes, precision scales, and digital cameras to verify dimensional, electrical, and workmanship requirements
  2. Performs detailed receiving inspections of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and subassemblies including:
  3. Reviews documentation requirements such as Certificate of Conformance, test, process, material, dimensional, and First Article Inspection reports
  4. Accurately documents inspection results, flags non-conformances, and works with quality and engineering teams on resolution
  5. Drives resolution of nonconforming material, ensuring timely MRB actions and cross-team coordination

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • More than 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • More than 3 years of experience in inspection
  • More than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
  • More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • More than 1 year of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems
  • Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks

Nice to have

  • More than 1 year of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints
  • More than 3 years of experience using electronic, dimensional and physical test equipment
  • More than 3 years of experience with the following types of hand tools (calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go no go gages, etc.)
  • More than 3 years of experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
  • More than 3 years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Active IPC certification (610/620/600)
