Quality Production Specialist

This role focuses on quality production within the aerospace industry, involving the review of non-conformance, failure analysis of components, root cause analysis, and project management for production improvements. It requires experience with engineering drawings, data analysis, and production processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformance and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  2. Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes. Guides the review of production plans.
  3. Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  4. Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of non-conformance. Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  5. Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
  • 3+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Velocity
  • 3+ years Production Experience
  • Able to access confined spaces and lift over 20lbs

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience working with CMES
  • Experience with managing quality improvement projects
  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Boeing 787 Program Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
  • 3+ years of experience writing tags with at least 70% first pass quality over the last year
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
