Quality Production Specialist

This role focuses on quality production within the aerospace industry, specifically for the Boeing 787 program. Responsibilities include reviewing non-conformances, performing failure analysis, training employees, conducting root cause analysis, developing corrective actions, and managing quality initiatives to improve production. The role requires experience in reading engineering drawings, analyzing data, and using production applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  2. Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes. Guides the review of production plans.
  3. Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  4. Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance. Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  5. Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
  • Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • working with Velocity and other 787 production applications
  • Production Engineering and/or Production System Design

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • working with CMES
  • managing quality improvement projects
  • working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Boeing 787 Program Experience
  • working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
