This role is a Quality Systems Assistant at Northrop Grumman, focused on ensuring production hardware and test articles meet engineering and configuration requirements. It involves assisting with metric and analysis reporting, supporting manufacturing reviews, and facilitating meetings for customer acceptance. The position requires strong computer and communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with quality functions, configuration management, and potentially material review board processes is preferred.

  1. Quality System Assistant will assist in metric and analysis reporting to support manufacturing reviews, investigations and provide operational support as necessary for business success.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • good computer skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Excel knowledge is required
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work Overtime and Weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel between work sites as needed

Nice to have

  • ePIC & CostPoint is a plus
  • Understanding of quality functions and requirements, including engineering drawing, configuration management and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand configuration/engineering requirements.
  • Experience with material review board (MRB) processes and handling of product nonconformance.
  • Decision making skills based on policy, experience, company heritage business process and customer requirements.
  • Ability to train users system application.
  • Be able to understand, dissect and data mine application data.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adheres to written procedures
  • experience with AS9100 requirements, standards, and compliance issues.
  • basic understanding of PES (lean) and Continuous Improvement.
